Subject: The Community of Cedar
Creek
To Whom it May Concern:
As Mayor of the All America City
of Aiken, South Carolina, I would like to take a moment to introduce you to the
beautiful master-planned, amenities community of Cedar Creek. Surrounded by horse
farms and designated a bird and wildlife sanctuary, Cedar Creek is located only
minutes from shopping, fine dining, quality medical care, rich cultural activities
and the university.
For over a decade, Cedar Creek and
Aiken have been nationally recognized with numerous awards. Golf Magazine named
Cedar Creek as “one of the top 20 communities to semi-retire in America,”
offering swimming, tennis, golf and many social activities. Furthermore, the 18-hole
Arthur Hills designed golf course is considered “the course to play”
while in town for the Masters Golf Tournament.
Cedar Creek property owners are unique
in themselves having relocated from over 32 different states and several countries.
Cedar Creek is reminiscent of the old time “neighborhood” where easy-going
people take time to “wave” and get to know each other. It’s
a place where neighbors meet on their patios and porches for an afternoon “chat”
and barbecue.
While centrally located, Cedar Creek’s
proximity to the college town of Aiken is ideal. The City of Aiken provides fine
restaurants, award-winning recreation, and many special interest groups and clubs.
It has been well noted, the most important asset, both at Cedar Creek and in Aiken,
is the people! Their friendliness can’t be beat – come see for yourself.
But don’t wait too long. There are approximately 985 homes planned and over
350 have been built, with nearly 50 percent of the homesites already selected
in Cedar Creek.
In closing, I would like to list
several additional honors received by the City of Aiken and Cedar Creek:
